Spencer Pratt’s Opponents Propose Dentists For Meth Heads, Ban On Backyard BBQs
Three candidates lead the Los Angeles mayoral race: former reality television star Spencer Pratt, incumbent Karen Bass, and Los Angeles city Councilwoman Nithya Raman.
Pratt says he’ll free Angelenos from the “open air drug zombies” who “commit multiple felonies every single day,” simply by enforcing the law.
Bass wants to give those zombies new teeth.
“How many people who are unhoused that you meet have no teeth at all? They don’t have teeth, why? Because meth rots your teeth. You can’t succeed without teeth. So, there needs to be comprehensive healthcare provided to people,” said Bass at a candidate forum held at Los Angeles’
It is probably pretty hard to succeed when you are actively addicted to meth. I’m not sure a new set of chompers is going to be enough to send meth addicts flying up the corporate ladder.

Where did this term "unhoused" come from? Is the word "homeless" not allowed?

You are missing the point. Imagine if you will, millions of people unable to be documented because they live in the streets, all receiving expensive dental care so they can be successful. Now imagine how many "dental offices" could pop up to utilize that funding without anyone being able to really follow up on how much actual dental work takes place, or where the money actually goes.
Now image how good you will feel when you see a meth head with great teeth, smiling at your family while crapping on the sidewalk.
It is a classic Democrat program.

Driving out of the Wal-Mart parking lot this morning I came to a stop sign with a bum sitting on the corner with his small dog. He held a sign: 'Homeless, Hungry...So's my Dog.'
I drove off and now deeply regret it. I had a small package of dog treats that I got in the store. I could have rolled down the window and tossed it to the dog.

"You can't succeed without teeth!" in reference to meth heads is one of the most asinine statements I've ever seen from a politician at any level

Everything has to have a new word, because all of the old words are considered insensitive. Even if the new words are just the same words twisted around:
Homeless/unhoused - literally mean the same thing
Colored people/people of color - literally mean the same thing
Illegal alien/Illegal immigrant/Undocumented immigrant/ - these all mean the same thing. Throw in the term "asylum seeker" and that is a complete travesty. There is no way to know if the person is actually seeking asylum.
All of the words for mentally challenged people (retarded, special, etc) all mean the same things, but the old words just get bad connotations, so they have to come up with new words.
