Then you have no idea what you’re talking about.

Every time this happens, they drop the standard to make sure the candidate makes it through.

Second, male female units dramatically underperform male units in every capacity we’ve tested them in.

You’re supporting a policy that makes us less lethal, and will get people killed.

It will also get people pregnant.

Maybe that will offset the death toll.

The data from the Marine Corps study was scary. Real world performance will be worse.

I’ll dig through my post history.

They performed badly across the board, but they did especially badly on tasks that require strength. Like accuracy with a heavy weapon.

They also experienced medical issues at much higher rate. The issues were more common, more serious, and kept them out of the field for longer.

I really don’t think it’s fair to ask a soldier to be comfortable with the person watching his back and fighting beside him, when that soldier can’t physically handle the situation.

Hopefully Mattis leaves after 2020, and Trump finds someone else. Maybe there’s some brave Lt. Col out there, who’d be willing to blow the whole thing up.

Well this country most definitely would. I’d be killed before the first week was up though. MIC wouldn’t like me too much.

The Army's proposed replacement to the APFT is going to cause a massive drop-out rate among female recruits and will essentially bar females from any combat MOS or high-op-tempo supporting unit. The current proposed scoring standards are the same for males and females. The minimums for "heavy physical demand" MOS/units are far above the current female minimums for the push-up and run events. Females older than 31 when these standards go into effect (unless changed) are fricked in any MOS. Males that are have only done the APFT minimums will suffer, those who have been used to 290 - 300 point scores will need to get used to a much lower score; you'd have to be a PT beast to max the ACFT:

Deadlift: 340lbs x3 reps
Power Throw: 10lb medicine ball 13.5 meters
Release Push-Ups: 70 reps
Sprint-Drag-Carry: 1:40
Leg Tuck: 20 reps
2-mile run: 12:45

No female will ever touch a max score.

And why is there such thing as badass Israeli military chicks, but our own women can't be that, or aren't good enough?

Available military talent in US >>>>>>>available military talent of Israel.

Not only that, Israel is surrounded on all sides by enemies who want them erased from the earth, so they can't be too picky when trying to get more enlistments.

The last stats I can remember seeing was the injury rate for women was twice as high as for men. On top of that, I think that was just at BCT. Being in a combat arms unit, much less SF, would probably show an even higher rate of injury.

100% chance this never goes through lol. If you think the military is going to make a rule that makes it harder for chicks to have an easy to road to promotion in a high profile unit you’re kidding yourself. Trust me, the powers that be, both civilian and military, couldn’t care less about winning the next war. They certainly don’t give a shite about the lives of their junior officer and enlisted folks. In fact, they despise the young soldiers and officers with a passion because when a you soldier does something stupid like gets a DWI or gets in a bar fight or bangs some brawd who is a bit too drunk he has to answer for it and it hurts his career.

What’s this JRTC news?

Fortunately I’ve never been to Leesville, but have had a couple of trips to sunny Barstow.

I've been active and reserve for 25 years, this is probably the 5th or 6th "new" pt test they have trotted out.

I've been in for 20+ years and this is the first where big Army has sent people to brief drill sergeant units on a new fitness test. If you think the Army isn't going to implement this, you are fooling yourself.
