CNN Politics (Fittingly)
I just can't even right now.

A female soldier recently completed the Special Forces Assessment and Selection for the first time, making her a candidate to be the first woman to become a Green Beret, according to a US Army Special Operations Command spokesman.
The woman, who has not been named due to the highly sensitive missions undertaken by the Green Berets, will next attempt the Special Forces Qualification Course, USASOC spokesman Lt. Col. Loren Bymer said.
The US Army Special Forces, commonly known as the Green Berets, specialize in unconventional warfare and international internal defense and counter-terrorism.
"Recently, a female successfully completed Special Forces Assessment and Selection and was selected to attend the Special Forces Qualification Course," Bymer said in a statement.

???
She's not the first woman to be selected. The first woman was selected in the 90's and failed the Q course.
and just like the last one, she'll fail the Q.

I think she is the first to be selected by SFAS.

If she doesn't pass, then she is truly terrible. Massive changes are being made to accommodate females, right on time for this, I might add.
There is zero integrity to this process, and hasn't been for some time.

Zero chance she fails.
They’ll just gut it.

Was going to say this...I remember this coming up before...
I imagine there are 2-5 American females that could pass all the training at any given moment...those women choose to do other things with their lives...
This one might be different...
I personally like Vasquez from aliens, she's mentally tough enough to pass...of course she's fiction, and jewish...

I have seen plenty of badass women in the movies doing secret missions.

What's funny is the Air Force is changing it's fitness test to be harder on females...
Dudes had to run about 13:00 mile and a half, girls 18:00; dudes 33 push-ups, girls like 12...
Mind you those were minimums, if you do all minimums, you fail anyway. So really a dude needed a 12:35ish run, a 45 push up, and about a 50 sit up score if he was just over the best waist measurement...to get a barely passing score.
A skinny girl could run it in 17:30, do 18 push ups, 43 sit ups and pass the same measure.
They are changing it now.

I mean, the enemy is going to accommodate us for the fact we have women in these roles right?
That's only fair.
That's only fair.

This is the first female to pass Special Forces Assessment and Selection. Kathleen wilder did not attend SFAS. The process was different in those days.

Hopefully the army is just making it up since they can’t name her. She can be legendary... female green beret singlehandedly takes out 17 ISIS terrorists and escapes by hotwiring an airplane!

I'm sure they will. I mean, SFQC is eliminating pull-ups from their requirements checklist, so I can't imagine ISIS wouldn't follow similar steps.

The 24-day continuous assessment is an intense test of candidates' mental and physical endurance. Several women have attempted the gender-neutral test since January 2016, when the Department of Defense began accepting women for all armed combat positions, Bymer said.
The female soldier's success comes following remarks by Defense Secretary Jim Mattis in September that "the jury is out" on the success of women serving in infantry roles due to an insufficient sample size.
"This is a policy I inherited, and so far the cadre is so small we have no data on it. We're hoping to get data soon," Mattis said.
He added that the department was still trying to "give it every opportunity to succeed if it can."
"Right now, it's not even dozens, it's that few," Mattis said.
In January 2017, the first three women joined the infantry Marines, serving in the 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.
