Speaker Mike Johnson supports more aid to Ukraine

Johnson was just asked if he supports more aid to Ukraine. “We all do. ... We are going to have conditions on that so we’re working through."
"We want accountability and we want objectives that are clear from the White House. But we’re going to have those discussions. It will be very productive," he said.
A common sense approach to keep the aid flowing and increase accountability. I like it but this board does not have common sense so I am sure you people will hate it.

Borrow money we don't have from China and give it to Ukraine/Israel.
Some find this rational.

Aren't you the dumbfrick that said Ukraine would make it to Tokmak by the end of October and Bakhmut was getting encircled?

You must have me confused with someone else. I have been saying for months that Ukraine f**ked up and rushed its counteroffensive because it was pressured to by Washington. How can I have said that Ukraine would make it Tokmak by the end of October when I have been consistently saying that Ukraine should have waited until all the western tanks arrived and they finished training more engineers for mine clearing?

Bakhmut was getting encircled?
I did say that but my post was taken out of context. I was making fun of the Russia lovers who said that Bakhmut would fall any day for months and thought that Russia won the war when they captured Bakhmut only to have Ukraine start taking back territory north and south of Bakhmut a few weeks later.

A common sense approach
Ukraine is not part of our national security interests. So there is no common sense component to this. All of this has compromised our national security by creating more ill will against us and pushing Russia and China together. This synaptic misfire of an idea hurts our national security interests.

keep the aid flowing
Nope. Re-direct it to Americans.

increase accountability
Not possible.
Haven't you russophobes figured out that you've been wrong about everything on this issue?

Our national interests might be hurt if Russia was a competent country. However, it is not. Russia has lost so much of its advanced military equipment in Ukraine (i.e. T90s, modernizeds T72s, helicopters, etc) that it would take decades for Russia to replace it. However, Russia can't afford to replace it because it is being forced to sell its only valuable exports (oil and gas) to China and India for pennies on the dollar.

Are you high, stupid, or a Putin dick sucker?

Russia-Ukraine is a turf battle between Slavic cartels.

Russia selling its precious commodity for pennies on a dollar to china and India. You do realize the US is buying it in the form of jet fuel via India. Some of the largest buyers are Eruopean, through several proxy shell companies. Heck zelensky himself is using money we gave to buy deisel and buying it through the black market and pocketed 100s of millions of our dollars in the process.
Here is why you know Russia is no threat. The EU flat out said if US funding stops with the new congress....they cannot fill the hole. FFS does that sound like a continent in fear of being overrun????????????????? No its the EU saying we cant hide the stealing to the magnitude you guys can in the US.

Well that's quite a relief, I was scared of him being an America last isolationist.
There should be a big $100 billion joint package for Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan and the border. Of course, accountability must be paramount as speaker Johnson said.

It doesn't matter that europeans or americans buy it, it matters that Russia is selling at near break even to India, it's still a loss for Russia as that profit is going to India rather than them.

I am not sure why anybody likes funding this war. I liked Johnson’s introduction and hope for better direction and management of the majority but don’t expect any real “accountability” with more wasted aid.

Cartels getting rich by using the fog of war to avoid transparency.

Putting the outright “intentionally destroying the economy for globalization option” aside for a moment,
unfortunately it’s all play money at this point. Nobody has any concept of the true value & vast magnitude of the spending and printing anymore. It’s bad enough that the general public doesn’t, but now our “leaders” are either too corrupt or too stupid to understand (or both)….
And when it all crashes down, they’ll wonder what happened…..

"accountability"
Looks great on paper but how is it really applied?

But that money is not going to Russia.

Funding Ukraine in their fight for their freedom and independence is better than not funding them and Russia winning.
