Not at all accurate or how it works. We borrow the vast majority from ourselves.
It was somewhat true 2-3 years ago when China held $1.5-2 trillion of US debt but China and other countries have been dumping US securities for the past 2 years.....and US government securities are not in high demand so they pile up on the Fed balance sheet. War Room reported last week around $8 trillion of US debt that is soon going to be on the books at 5%......by the end of 2024 US debt is going to cost $1 trillion to service.

If the only thing that happens is single issue bills I'm ok with that start
If nothing else, House members will become accountable for their votes

but this board does not have common sense so I am sure you people will hate it.
I don’t think it makes sense to borrow money so that we can give it away to foreign countries.
The Executive branch should always be able to come sit down with congress and make the case, with objectives, analysis , etc. on why money is needed. NO money should even consider being sent without that.

This is the biggest foreign policy failure of the last hundred years.
Done differently, US and Russian interests would be aligned.
China's addition to the WTO would have been contingent on 1st world corporate law and policy compliance, instead of open season on theft of trade secrets and extortion.
The world would be a very different place.

Right. It's basically the swamp agreed upon number. They fuly intend on ramming it through. Let's see if Johnson keeps his promise to break down bills before voting on resolutions.
