Where would you rank the risk of becoming a "Christian theocracy" on your list of potential concerns facing this nation at this moment?
If it's anywhere in the top 25,000, you are certifiably insane.

I would put his concern well below "California and New York annex all territory between them".

Thanks. But it appears that end is in sight now. Can’t quite tell how far away it is right now.

What beliefs do Christians hold that would be detrimental to the good of America if they voted consistently therewith?

He could straighten out Louisiana. The coonass S La corrupt good ole boys like it the way it is. Fighting for last place is the goal.

With the dumpster fire geo-politically and domestically USA. Worrying about this is nuts.
Doing unto others as you would have done upon yourself is not horror. HAMAs beheading babies is.

I'll admit its hyperbolic but like I said it depends on the application. Within Project 2025 which folks like Johnson support.. there are calls for some pretty extreme measures an example... outlawing pornography nationwide.

I'm not sure it's been discussed but is he the first Louisiana congressman to be the Head speaker of the House of Representatives?
Posted on 10/25/23 at 4:10 pm to ThuperThumpin
I’m gonna need to see the text on that.
Sounds like the “don’t say gay” horse shite.

1. What, exactly, would a "Christian theocracy," as you use the term, look like? Precisely what, do you allege, would it impose upon its citizens?
2. What, exactly, makes you leap from what happened today to the specter of such a "theocracy"?
3. Do you impose a litmus test of "No Christians for public office"?

It about making those beliefs law and the breaking of those laws punishable. Some I support...others I dont. I'm sure you would agree to some extent.

That's what he asked. What laws do Christian politicians want made because of their beliefs?

On Project 2025 wanting to ban pornography?
LINK

quote:
Pornography, manifested today in the omnipresent propagation of transgender
ideology and sexualization of children, for instance, is not a political Gordian knot
inextricably binding up disparate claims about free speech, property rights, sexual
liberation, and child welfare. It has no claim to First Amendment protection. Its
purveyors are child predators and misogynistic exploiters of women. Their product
is as addictive as any illicit drug and as psychologically destructive as any crime.
Pornography should be outlawed. The people who produce and distribute it should
be imprisoned. Educators and public librarians who purvey it should be classed
as registered sex offenders. And telecommunications and technology firms that
facilitate its spread should be shuttered.

1 I'm not sure. I dont want to find out by supporting folks that claim dont repspect the separation of church and state.
2 I dont really..I admit it was a hyperbolic response but one we should be cautious of imo.
3 Would not support a litmus test.
Posted on 10/25/23 at 4:26 pm to ThuperThumpin
Well tbh if we banned pornography and legalized prostitution I think we would be a happier and a more prosperous country. Would people rather look on the computer or have Uber deliver their order to the door lol

It seems odd that you asserted fear of a "Christian theocracy" yet are not sure what that is.
