Media turning their focus and outrage to the billions spent on operations in Iran. Yet they have no problem with billions in fraud/leakage within social programs.
Iran conflict was inevitable, just a matter of when. It has broad worldwide benefits to those inside and outside Iran. Social programs are wonderful if they are helping those truly in need. Priority should be supporting citizens and our national security. Helping refugees is an admiral goal but should not come at the expense of our citizens or countries own needs.

Thom Tillis was a Nay vote.
What a shocker. That guy is a bigger pile of shite than anything my Lab can produce, and, let me tell ya, my Lab can lay out some gigantic piles of shite.
From now on then, any time my pup pinches one off, I'll just say he's taking a Tillis.

Refugees are not the same as illegal immigrants. Refugees are individuals forced to flee their home country due to persecution, war, or violence. They are recognized under international law (1951 Convention) as needing protection. Illegal immigrants are those whose presence violates immigration laws.
The "unaccompanied children" were all classified as refugees. Then apparently they just started classifying everyone that way. They did not give out SS# at the border, but they did give them the paperwork and procedures to apply.
Its not social security as most Americans think, retirement money. Social security can be taken for the infamous "down syndrome" that half of America has, disability, etc. That number can then be used for a myriad of programs, small business loans/forgiven during covid, innumerous grants, section 8 housing, earned income tax credit (which allows you to reclaim all your taxes AND those your employer paid), WIC, food stamps, child care, medicare and all that fraud nonsense, too much to count.

The only reason Cornyn voted Yay is because he’s up for election in a few months. If he was in Cruz’s position, he’d be a Nay vote.

Long past tired of my tax money (and my children's futures) being mortgaged so we can be the suckers for the rest of the world.

At this point republicans will struggle in the future . Why vote for republican politicians who will continue to side with democrats. I would take 41 senators voting for the American people over 49 rhinos . We must have over 15 republicans in the senate who side with democrats and most of them are in red states .

Cindy Hyde smith is a dem transplant and Roger wicker is a rino. Mississippi needs to primary both of their asses.

There’s no reason to vote no to this unless you’re personally benefiting.
This is an area I think Trump has failed. There should be widespread investigations into politicians at every level for a litany of crimes.
They’re just waiting him out at this point and he has to know that.
This ^^^^ has been the strategy against Trump/America First/MAGA for 10 years. The DC Uniparty and Bureaucratic State Skunks view Trump as a passing storm, so the DC Uniparty and the Bureaucratic State Skunks all hunker down and wait for the storm to pass.

udtiger
The answer is, anyone from Mexico, Canada, Cuba, and maybe Bermuda.
Anyone else is supposed to, per 'international law' seek refugee status in the nearest country bordering the 'refugee's' country from which they are fleeing. Not set the USA as a target to end up at as a refugee. But if they are from those other countries, then we should provide services to help them until returning is viable.

That MS is represented by these two is a disgrace.
