I'm waiting on a priority Mail package that arrived at the Kansas City distribution center on 7/29 and it finally left that Kansas City distribution center today. It will probably wait another several days at the next point.

Since they have chosen a specific candidate, this automatically disqualifies them from handling these ballots. They are susceptible to being biased and mishandling certain ballots.

Scared of Trump cleaning house like he did with TVA.
The head of the USPS is already a Trump political appointee. If he wiped out the top exec, he’d just be getting rid of his own guy.

Two months ago, I ordered an item from someone near Vancouver, Canada. It went from there to San Francisco, Cali. It stayed there 9 days. It then disappeared for 10 days only to show up in New Mexico before vaporizing again.
It finally reappeared in Memphis. Stayed there for 4 days. Instead of heading south to Baton Rouge, it went north to New Jersey. Disappeared for another week at that point.
Fully a month after the order was placed, it showed up at my house.
Yeah, the government will mail a ballot to my house, and it will more than likely end up at a neighbors house. If my neighbor is trustworthy, he or she might bring it to me to cast my vote. If not, they will have the ability to vote twice.
The silver lining is, even if someone else steals my vote, the ballot probably won't make it back to the government until 30 days after the election is already decided.
I guess it will all work out in the end.

Can we privatize the USPS already? There is no reason to waste another penny on mail service when private companies do it so well and for nice profit.

The USPS screws up simple mail deliveries thousands of times a day. No way they can truly handle main-in voting.

I’ve never heard so many complaints about mail delays the las couple months and have personally tracked a few packages having major nonsensical routing (one package originating Denver with destination Raleigh arriving in Raleigh and then routed to Dallas before finally arriving in Raleigh again two weeks late).
New Postmaster General was appointed in May. Policy changes and problems came quick. I’m I agreement USPS has to get their financial house in order (with reducing overtime pay; I get it), but this isn’t happenstance. I think we’re having a “You’re doing a heck of a job, Brownie” situation here. Hearing to come so. Let the grandstanding commence.

Let's tackle the main issue here. USPS, United States Postal Service, i.e. a Government Entity, is endorsing candidates. Ok, yes, it's their Union, but that union is a union for a Government Entity.
How in the actual frick can any GovEntity endorse political candidates? This is pure corruption and election interference. There should be outrage with this nonsense.
Same goes for any other union for government entities (police, fire, teachers, etc, etc, etF'nc)

Hatch Act violation, btw.
Actually not.
The Hatch Act applies to employees, not unions. It prohibits employees from campaigning while on duty, so you shouldn't be receiving packages from USPS with a "Biden 2020" sticker on them (of course that implies you actually GET your package in the first place -- two extremely slow deliveries got me $85 worth of free stuff from Amazon).

We should have listened to the Dems lo so many decades ago when THEY wanted to shutdown the USPS. If we had they'd have no argument now.

Here’s a funny thing I purchased my house a year ago I’m still getting mail from the couple that lived here before me. I first placed them back in the box with a note saying they moved. Next step was to speak to the mail carrier i handed her the mail explaining they have moved. Twice now I have carried it to the post office and asked them to resolve the situation as they receive 10-20 pieces every day. If they are unable to solve this problem how are they going to be responsible enough to manage our election.

Cut off funding, privatize. Prices would go down and service would improve.

I had a package stuck in Baton Rouge for 3 days before it finally made it to my house (less than an hour away.)
Also, last month I was awaiting a package. The tracking stopped in BR on July 9th. Received a refund because the item was considered lost in the mail. It showed up last Friday.
Sure, they’ll do mail in voting just fine.
