Agreed, but damn it's a baaaaad look. The way Abdul and that redhead were "supporting" her looked like something out of a bizarre movie on religious sects where the followers are coaxing the new girl to complete her initiation by taking the leader's pecker in front of the congregation.
If you are that terrified of public speaking, spend some time with Toastmasters before stumping for a Congressional candidate. If you're the candidate, that just makes you look desperate for support.
