The border bill that was negotiated provided for new agents, but Trump torpedoed it. He’ll have to address that issue eventually. There are Republicans who will publicly verify the facts…

That border bill allowed for 2 million illegals to enter this country each year. That isn't a border bill. It's a law meant to convince morons like you that our politicians are securing the border. Kamala Harris publicly stated she thought illegal entry into this country shouldn't be a criminal offense. Her administration undid almost all of Trump's executive orders related to the border within days of taking power. And her administration's DOJ has fought every state tooth and nail when they try to secure the border themselves because the Feds won't do it.

so that’s it, Kamala, Biden and the Dems in four years get one shot at securing the border through one bloviated bullshite bill which doesn’t pass (the reason it doesn’t pass is blaming a guy not even in office…nothing else)
then they get to so say “gee golly guess we can’t secure our border now, but it’s not our fault at least”
this type of political “fact” is how you get no fricking accountability from anyone

It’s not even about a lack of BP agents. It’s about the policy of catch and release. Most of them don’t even try to evade the agents. They just walk up to them, claim asylum, they are given a court date, and released into America never to be seen again.
