That shite’s been a fiction for years.

For the record, I’m not even advocating against “reforms.” Some of you folks just seem to be kidding yourselves about what we are dealing with here.

Ok guess we won't deal with it then!

We only have tens of millions of Americans living off of it

Just let me keep or invest my money now.

Rip the bandaid off.

Quit fricking me in this ponzi scheme where we hold the empty bag at the end

^ This & return everything I paid in & remove me from social security. Today I got mad while working on my taxes after seeing how much ss taxes I paid last year.

I could have invested that money or just stuffed in a mattress & done better.

It’s $7,000 straight up stolen from me. I won’t ever see it and I got no entertainment or pleasure from that money to spend on my own as part of my income

Boomers really are terrible. I'm ok with paying in until they die with a hard stop afterwards. They are too selfish to absorb any of the hit and we all know it.

How's your IRA/401k doing? Take your life out of the hands of others.

I choose to pay into a 401k. The govt takes the S.S. tax without asking. How much are they going to end up stealing from you over your lifetime?

Like income taxes, property taxes, and sales taxes?

You choose whether you pay enough into your retirement vehicles, ignoring what government does WRT SS, Medicare, Disability, or anything else.
