china virus has NOTHING to do with the massive increase in testing....wouldn't logic dictate if you're looking for it more you're gonna find it more?

Pushing testing was a massive tactical Trump blunder.

Logic has never been involved with anything to do with coronavirus.

Covid will be eradicated by April under biden.

Trump's massive tactical blunder was letting Biden and the Democrats use a mask as a political weapon.

Even with vaccinations they are going to be heavily pushing testing because you could still be a "carrier".

Whether you test or not, if you have Covid 19, you have it. Most people in LA who get tested, do so because they have symptoms or were exposed to someone that tested positive. Testing for Covid 19 is not a plot to make everyone think they are sick.

Why he continued to underestimate the lengths they were willing to go is beyond me.
Like living in Compton and leaving the keys in your Mercedes with your wallet sitting on the front seat.
Negligence like this is unforgivable.

The desire was to prove the left wrong that we couldn’t ramp up testing. We have tested far more people than almost every country.

Assuming that the test is even close to accurate is your first logic flaw.

Sooner than that.

Right. And this was ultimately a blinding self serving goal fueled by Trumps ego. He should have seen it for what it was. There were numerous people on this very board who saw it, why couldn’t he?
Then to have nothing set up to stop the election theft, not one thing, is just crazy.
But I’ve said this all before. It’s over. It’s not his fault but it’s his fault he was so ill prepared.

This is why I shut off from caring what the spike in cases was about. Logic would say "That's great more people are getting tested" but the news is "Holy frick shut the country down from all these positive tests!"

testing or not, it's pretty tough to get a hospital bed in Louisiana right now. That's a fact. And I'm not just talking about beds for COVID patients either. Someone that shows up in the Houma ER, may get shipped all the way to Shreveport or wherever they can find a bed.

Which fact checker? Link?
The issue really isn't that the summer or the current surge is overstated. It is more that the first surge was massively understated due to lack of testing.
But put aside cases. As another poster stated, COVID hospitalizations are way up. Deaths are up compared to the summer (but not quite the initial wave). I am referencing Louisiana here.
But overall, turning off your headlights doesn't mean you aren't about to hit a tree.

Back in the old days (2019), a "case" = being sick.
Today, a "case" = being sick OR testing positive asymptomatically OR contact traced to someone who tested positive.
