Meh.
I'm an old school OT person that was there in the best of times. It is great here and there but mainly just a shadow of what it once was.

Because it's intimidating for people who passively follow politics to jump into discourse in a political setting with people who are very well versed in and opinionated on the issues. It's also a board that leans pretty well to the right so the more liberal OT'ers and apolitical folks are scared of it.
Also, let's be honest, the content on the OT isn't exactly high brow. I wouldn't get too butthurt over the OT's opinion on matters of any greater importance than Kate Upton's oddly shaped torso.

Truth be told, however, nazis are kind of entertaining. That's why I skulk around here with the other skulkers. Well, that and to bring some education to the group.

I used to post there a lot before migrating over to this board. As bad as people can be here, the posts over there are completely juvenile. If you want to talk about what's going on in the world today, you have to sift through thread after thread of teens ogling breasts and facebook fodder akin to "name 10 things people don't know about you".
