how is this just "weather", and not climate?
Tell us how the climate changes are man-made, and not just natural Mother Nature changes that have occurred for millions of years?

You could have no hurricanes for five years and the climate change tailgaters would be like “see it’s the unpredictable nature and the wild inconsistencies that climate change is creating.
It’s a great field to be in. You can’t lose. Any circumstance whatsoever can easily and always be connected to climate change.
Hypothetical example:
“Man I don’t see as many butterflies as I used to”
“That’s because this warmer climate and lack of standing water has caused these poor butterflies to relocate to parts of the country they’ve never been before”
“Man I’ve been seeing tons of butterflies lately”
“That’s because due to the recent warming trend, the butterflies are confused into thinking these temperate zones are now tropical zones”
…….See how easy that was??

With the oceans getting warmer every year, especially the Gulf, how is this just "weather", and not climate?
as always, you haven't a clue and are foolish.

quote:Good grief. Do some math. With the higher heat capacity in water, how much hotter would the air have to be to raise the water temp by 10° F?
The temperature in much of the Gulf of Mexico reached 90° this summer...IN JUNE! This is unreal, and the heat in that body of water is averaging up to 10° F. warmer than the 1980's.

They keep talking about record numbers of 'Named Storms' in the last few years. It's because before a few years ago we did not name storms. Only hurricanes. And we didn't even name hurricanes until 1953. They were called 'Big Storm'.

Your talking points got destroyed in record time! Congrats!

Also with the satellite technology we have today, any little twist in the atmosphere gets a name now compared to even 20 years ago.

You’re a fricking idiot.

You people cannot be reasoned with. Just go bunker down somewhere and wait for the inevitable collapse of earth

Another election cycle.
Another round of lies.

I realize you’re really fisking stupid, but you do know it’s SUPPOSED to warm up after an ice age right?

Oh, and after 2005 all the efforts were saying expect the worst decade in history of hurricanes, and then no major hurricanes

Spending money is Biden's only solution for anything and the question always remains as to how he is a millionaire on a senator's salary especially when you know he is not very bright; personal wealth has to come from somewhere

And the first major hurricane decided to wait for the water to cool down before spinning up?

I guess you don’t recall Andrew, Katrina, Betsy, Camille, among others over the past 50 to 100 years. Hurricanes have been around since the beginning of time. We just have technology to measure their strength now. Additionally, more people live on the coast and more media cover them now.
We can play this game. There were less severe hurricanes this year than the three years prior. Is the water cooling? It’s the weather. Unpredictable.

But if you’ve noticed, they’ve somewhat backed off of the “more and more storms each year”, and ramped up on “not that there’s more storms, but the intensity of these storms is greater”.

Tell me you're a dumb arse without actually saying you're dumb arse. You don't even look at stats.
Seasons with the most major hurricanes, 1851-Present
Rank Year Number of Major Hurricanes
1. 1950 8
2. 2005 7
3. 1999 6
4. 1996 6
5. 1964 6
6. 1961 6
7. 1955 6
8. 1926 6

Kind of like they've backed off of global warming and gone to climate change? I guess that's what happens when you have a number of your events canceled because of record cold and snowfall...
