Well if you are not going to let the cops do their jobs and protect life and property you might as well just give the money away.

Going to New York about 5 years ago that was the “Disneyworld” for adults. Action and entertainment happening everywhere, felt comfortable walking the streets at night, etc. Now to throw that all away. Wow

What insurance companies are going to come in & insure property in a city where there is no police force? Trial lawyers will make millions, though.

Yep.

Doing this right after a major bump in telecommuting is stupid as hell.

The savings made in pulling out of a major metro to telecommute is huge compared to a smaller area just in rent and taxes.
