Agreed. They throw these lunatics out there like a weather balloon to see if they will gain traction. If they do, DNC sticks with them and they use the media to prop them up.

When they fail, they'll dump you like a bad habit and potential rape charges

Not really the Republicans will still have a 1-3 deat advantage without her. Plus, as wishy washy as she is, she still votes Republican most of the time

Bad.
Collins should have been relishing the opportunity to run against Platner.

she was losing in every poll against him. I was just in Maine two weeks ago and saw 100 Planter signs for every Collins sign. Coastal Maine (where most of the people live) is about as liberal a place as you can find in the country.

His numbers must have looked bad or he would still be running.

Gonna be hard for them to find someone better than a Nazi rapist.
he should switch to the republican party that way he can be found guilty in a court of law and still get elected.

Pundit today said there is much excitement as the democrat party politburo will be able to select a candidate who will have the wind at their back.

The self-proclaimed saviors of democracy sure do love to subvert democracy!
Hand picked candidates post-primary...
National popular vote...
Ignoring laws they don't like...
Foreign nationals and illegals voting in our elections...

I’m sorry you don’t get to vote for him! Maybe you can resurrect the corpse of George Wallace or Bull Connor!! I know you hoped he would be the next Strom Thurmond or Robert Byrd

True. But the Republicans don’t have to have that seat but the Democrats do. Best not to take the chance.

I don't live in her state, but I assume they're somehow painting Collins as a right wing Nazi who hates black people. In reality however, she's essentially the same as having a Dem in office for them anyway.

So long as there is continued chaos, it won't matter. "The big tent" party they proclaim is like a circus tent full of freaks, misfits, terrorists, communists, trans people, rapists and murderers. They have no shame. If it gets them a vote, they will take it.

Just like the party kicked Biden to the curb and replaced him with Kamala

Don't forget when Debbie Wasserman Schultz, then the chair of the DNC, preferred Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders during the primaries, and her leaked emails showed that they had internally discussed strategies to weaken Sanders’ campaign and rig the results.

One example of which was Donna Brazile giving Hillary the debate questions in advance after Bernie refused to drop out (which the emails also showed).
