There should be an ongoing effort to increase the production of all goods around the world that come out of that part of the world so interruptions do not drive the prices up.

You’re close to answering my question. There was a report in another thread the Houthis took over the coast and attacked the Saudi’s pipeline. Then this report says it was the proxies in Iraq. Was it both? Was the first report erroneous, is the report in the OP wrong?

The Houthis have driven down the Yemeni coast and taken most of the land and all of the islands near the strait of Bab Al Bandeb. It appears the initial reports that the houthis attacked the pipeline were incorrect and it was Iranian backed Iraqi militias that attacked the pumping stations along the pipeline. It really doesn’t matter though, all the orders come from the IRGC.

So we really don’t know yet? Reports are inconclusive it appears at this point.
Accuracy matters always. Everyone knows who controls the proxies but when reporting is flawed it leads me to question the veracity of the actions taking place or the severity being reported.
I have no doubt others don’t have the same level of expectations as me, such as yourself apparently.

There were unconfirmed reports of the attacks on the pipeline yesterday. I didn’t post about it because they were unconfirmed or from unreliable sources. It’s confirmed today. US officials are the ones who reported the attacks came from Iraq. There is satellite imagery that clearly shows at least one pumping station is completely destroyed. Reports of attacks on at least two others but I don’t know the damage to them. I also don’t know exactly what extent the destruction of the pumping station will have on the flow of oil. It will certainly reduce a measurable amount until it is rebuilt though.
The point being, the pipeline is not a reliable alternative to the strait of Hormuz anymore and even if it were the tankers will have to deal with the Houthi controlled Bab Al Bandeb strait now.

Stop jerking yourself off..."Out of precaution". It's from your source, but you do post that. Even the pumping station attack doesn't stop the flow, though it does diminish rate.
