I think there are two very different questions in that. One is does this cycle radically change the course of America and make it hopeless for conservatism? No. it doesn’t.
The other is: are we in long term decline that will probably end in hard times (deadly strife or loss of our constitutional freedoms)? Possibly so.

You do realize Trump has brought more communism and socialism to America than any Democrat could ever dream of, don't you?
I think under his direction, the government has taken positions in 30-40 companies. He's had to subsidize so many different things because he has no clue how to be an effective leader.
