If the cost of making the film was $250m+ AND it was expected to be released in 2023 or 2024, then it will need to gross well over $600m to break even.

Maybe it does ok if the lead actress can keep her mouth shut?
Probably. She won't be getting work any time soon though, so that's good. I hope she's good at saving money.

This shouldn't be hard.
Find a sweet girl next door, and sultry AF late 30s woman. Throw in CGI dwarves and shoot a shot for shot remake of the original movie.
You're correct, but people think they have to reinvent the wheel to be relevant.
When you're standing on the shoulders of giants, people will definitely notice when you fall.

They need to remake Selena using that fat black chick from Precious.
This might cause WWIII.

This guy played a big part in getting rid of dwarf roles in this movie and took away employment opportunities for his feelings.

Seven (or six, if they had decided to cast him as one of the Dwarves) new little people getting a shot at breaking into the industry would really be a risk at cutting into his future roles.

It's been announced that RZ has a next job. On stage in London, she's going to sing the lead in a resurrection of Evita.
I loved that musical when I first saw it in London, and she is not the type to wear a blond wig and innocence becoming powerful.

I believe that's a revival.
And apparently she nailed the musical numbers in the movie, so maybe that's her element.

How many White Dudes for Harris zooms and times being pegged does it take to find Zegler more attractive than Gal Gadot?

Having that fake chick from the Bud Light cans play Snow White would have probably saved this disaster.

This guy wants to pretend that every role he ever played was not specifically written for a dwarf. He thinks he's a leading man.

That's just the cost of production and doesn't include marketing.
I've seen estimates of $700 million to $800 million to break even.

He said that he worked too hard for little people to fall back to a subpar role such as a seven dwarf. Dude knee capped lesser known actors out of a paying role for his narcissistic pleasure. It made me lose a lot of respect for him and I think he is a good actor.
