She should be shunned by her teammates. What about the girl on the team who is the bring a lunch pail type. Not a superstar but a really solid gymnast who works and works and works. This was her best shot for a gold medal. And Biles f’d that up.

“I wanted it to be for myself when I came in — and I felt like I was still doing it for other people,”

Its plain and simple. She was up against better gymnast and that appeared to make her look bad. So to prevent on looking even worse just choose the saving mental health route. Yep she is a quitter.

Can anyone imagine the Boston Red Sox needing to win the last game of the year to win the pennant and Ted Williams decides to sit out the game and this is his excuse? No no one can because Williams would have never pulled this crap. It would be one thing if she had just found out someone in her family had died or was in a terrible car accident or something of that nature. It's another to basically pull out the old I just wasn't feeling it today line.

Well...perhaps don't be part of the team competition if you are doing it for yourself.
Also...it's the Olympics...you go representing your country. You will always be doing it for the folks back home cheering you on.
