With everything going on how can they expect people to pony up the normal property taxes? Especially all these landlords who are getting stiffed on rent.

Does anyone know who is in charge of this? I know the Sheriff uses his muscle to enforce compliance but who can I call to ask them to stop it for a year?

Can you direct me to a place to get started on that for myself? Do you have to be an American Indian?

Sales Tax revenue will be super low this year. There's no way property tax will see any relief.

If anything, property tax will go UP

State has to recoup their “losses” somehow.

Do you even own any property? As a landlord (with tenants that are still paying, thankfully), I already KNOW I'm going to get totally fricked this year. You add in a huge decrease in revenue with the fact that by the end of this year there will be a spike in delinquencies on mortgages and foreclosures (and therefore fewer people paying property tax that is owed) and we'll be lucky if they don't just start taking property from people to sell for revenue... even though they sort of already do that.

I wish but Dora the Explorer went and wasted a ton of money on the hospital that wasn't used.
