You think it's only anti Trump people second guessing this war? Because one of the stated reasons many gave for voting for Trump was precisely to avoid new foreign wars.
Well this isnt a new war.
But okay, let's bring our boys home. But from everywhere. Not just Iran.

Imagine signing up for the fire department, but the government that directs your fire department decides to start 5 fires a night indefinitely in a city that is not your own. Then that governing department makes you go fight the fires night after night that they caused.
Imagine signing up for the fire department when the fire department has operated exactly as you claim for the last 80 years and then crying when it's your turn to go put out the fire.
That's the thing.
No matter what your criticism is, IT'S BEEN HAPPENING FOR LONGER THAN ANYONE HERE HAS BEEN ALIVE.
Therefore, anybody who signed up to be a part of it is a moron for objecting.

No one is saying we shouldn't have a military and a military is definitely a necessity.
For what?
What are the legitimate uses for the US military?
Regardless of whether you may act like that's not a reasonable question in order to keep from having to answer it, it's not.
I'm still waiting for an answer to this question.

Right. We were clearly involved in a war with Iran before Trump 2.0

Well, yeah, due to the second guessing of every single decision, action, thought and word of Trump by anti-Trump people, it’s not a difficult leap to make lumping this second guessing in with all the other. That’s what second guessing for sport does and has done…..takes the seriousness and credibility away from any second guessing moving forward, even when it may be legit and warranted. It’s a darned shame, but I can’t say that there weren’t rational people trying to warn folks about that possibility becoming reality.

Some are tired of young Americans dying for Israel.
Care to enlighten us when this has happened? What wars have we fought “for Israel” ?

Seems more difficult when people openly stated no new wars as a reason to support him though
You can deny reality if you want. But it makes you look like a fool.

What wars would be fair game to criticize then?
Because according to OP we need to start wars just because we have the personnel to do it
Which is beyond insane
Obviously it all depends upon who has political power at the moment.

You'll have to copy and paste where he said anything like that. I missed it.

Sure it is. But I doubt it actually happened.

That all depends on what the criticism is, doesn't it?

The Iraq War from 2003-2011 had nothing to do with 9/11.

You think we carpet bombed Syrians for years on end because that would somehow benefit us?

Observation of a boomer.
I am glad I won't be around if these younger Americans, who want to stick their heads in the sand, gain power. I cannot imagine a more naive out of touch bunch. You are not special and our country will suffer because of your weakness and stupidity.

Is a nuclear armed Iran not a threat to the interests of the United States?
Trump said we set them back years about 9 months ago. What happened to that?

I don’t think most in the military are protesting “boots on the ground”, though when I was in there were a number of Marines (dark greens mostly) who would bitch about going to the field and I thought what the hell did you join the Marine Corps for if you don’t want to go the field or go on deployments?

So, now MAGA is 100% neocon ala Dick Cheney for forever wars and spending trillions overseas instead of investing the money back home. Good luck selling that platform to voters later this year and 2028. The backlash will be glorious.
I've never been against using the military and never has Trump.
What I was ticked about was not protecting our border while sending money to a country that is not one of our allies.
But noone does nuance anymore.

Same thing that happened to Trump's claim that he would stop the Ukraine War on day one.
I don't know where all of you who bring that up have been for 10 years, but I have a newsflash for you: Trump exaggerates and uses hyperbole liberally.
Is it really possible that y'all are just now finding this out?
