Just goes to show there's no such thing as a moderate democrat.

i bet a number of those guys were Never Trumpers and intra-GOP opponents like Rand Paul were out there

You think the average retail media outlet is presenting enough nuance that an on the edge whackjob can easily distinguish such things?

So when politics don't go your way, kill the opposition?

Kinda solidifying this guy was driven by the constant drumbeat of a false narrative

Sure, that's it.

oh i know. it still doesn't make any sense, and i'm speaking objectively

it gives more evidence to the "he was crazy" theory (that i've been told i shouldn't claim)

The thing to take away is that he isn't an insane outlier among a group. He doesn't fit into the typical insane profile of a unstable loner.

His views were probably shared and agreed upon openly. His vocal motivations were and still are considered 100% acceptable.

They just kinda, maybe, somewhat-with-a-camera, disagree on the form of excecution.

He tried to murder countless numbers of people. I'd say that fits the very definition of "evil guy".

There's no question this should be a teachable moment for conservatives. The Republican Party (particularly the radical, Tea party faction, the Louie Gohmerts, Jim Jordans, Mike Lees, et al) has inflamed the dialog in recent years. A little more civility could have prevented this ugly occasion.
