Yeah, economically, she's basically a communist.

I guess this is how commies get control. They swoop in after the crisis they create, posing as saviors.

Did it take them weeks after multiple shut downs to count the votes?

No. 2 different bodies.

Their EU elections just happened.

He's dissolving the French (Domestic) Parliament for new elections.

Yes.

It seems weird to us, but this is common with Parliamentary governments.

Usually they do this when they're in a position of strength, however. I don't get why he's doing it now.

France’s budget deficit and debt has spiraled worse under Macron, fueled by the unwise decisions of the sanctions regime. Cost of living for average French citizens has exploded. Crime is rising. And he spends most of his time talking about Ukraine and staying on good terms with China

My only guess is he expects it to get much worse. Call a snap election now while you still have a chance of clinging to power and reset the clock.

Les Republicains lost another seat, unable to capitalize on Macron’s weakness because they do not effectively address issues that matter to the people that once voted for them; those issues being immigration, border security, foreign policy, crime, war, individual civil liberties and freedom, preservation of French sovereignty and independence in the age of globalism.

Man this sounds so familiar….

Of course. When all else fails, blame a foreign power for interference.

There is something going on throughout all of what we would consider the western world. I’m not exactly sure what it is or how to describe it but I think it’s something everyone feels. The rubicon has essentially been crossed. Sargon did a really good 10 min video on it I just watched. It feels like it’s young men are done, and they’re about to make that known. Historically that hasnt been a very good thing, hopefully there will be older steady hands at the wheel.

I can’t wait for a 1st world country to devolve into utter chaos. It’s going to be extremely entertaining. Won’t be France though bc most don’t have weapons

Imo the most likely outcome of the chaos that will be unleashed if that happens is a Caesar type will appear. This can really only happen when the political aristocracy is absurdly rigid and only cares about the rich while not even caring to give the illusions of caring about normal citizens. Hell the democrats don’t even seem to care about keeping the USA a sovereign state. The Caesar type gets their power through a disaffected population who feels like he will at least bring some change to actually help their lives in some way. This sounds awfully plausible to me at least.

This is what leftists call democracy.

We are talking about two different governments. In the EU France elected a slate that went against Macron. He then dissolved the FRENCH Assembly, which is his right after a certain point. This is typically done in Parliamentary governments when the ruling party suffers a loss of confidence. It has nothing to do with opposing the will of the people.

Felt like 60% of the city were immigrants from somewhere else, before we even get to the fact that they are not friendly to Americans to begin with. Would never go back to Paris.

I just want to point out that this is not typical of Paris, which is a wonderful city and perfectly friendly to Americans. There are some French cities of which this would be true, like Marseilles, but not Paris.

I’m not saying you are wrong about your experience; the Frogs strike a lot, and if your vacation coincides with one then you could be hosed.

A massive rebuke of the leftist government in France.

LePen is basically a commie except when it comes to French nationalism and immigration.

That's a trade I am willing to make...for now.

I would imagine it the native Parisians would be easier to like if we spoke French. We tried as best we could, but it seemed like the only ones that all of a sudden spoke English and communicated with us were the ones in the Shops trying to sell my wife stuff.
