Concerns about proposed legislation, sure. I was told this was proof positive of our crisis at the border, I saw nothing in that article that proved anything of the sort. And ftr I have not said anything about supporting an ICE cap or anything else of the sort

on why there is a crisis at the border. So...what is the their reasoning?
You claim you read the quote in the OP and then you ask a dumb question like the one I quoted above?

WTF is wrong with you??
quote:

warn against Democratic efforts to put a cap on the number of criminal illegal immigrants that can be held by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

They put our people at risk just to take care of their political agenda....they're demanding a cap on the number of criminals ICE is allowed to detain for deportation.

So now a crisis is something that hasn't even happened yet?

You're just being willfully obtuse.

TX Sheriff thinks there is a problem

I have a few LEO clients in the valley. I can assure you 100% that there is a border issue. Human trafficking and drugs being the most serious. Whether a wall can stop it or not is another question. I do know that if we keep doing what we have been and expect different outcomes then shame on us.

The sheriffs disagree with you. I'll go with them instead of you. Smart people agree.

I think I did that prog tactic correctly.

An issue or a crisis? I have already said that I am all for improving the border in the most efficient and effective ways possible. But to use this as a "now this is a super emergency because we said so" when the actual problems at the border are at historic lows over the last 2 decades is disingenuous using a manufactured crisis for political votes. I would rather focus on the real issues and the real solutions to help our country out

Nah. You're arguing just because you think it's cute to do so. You lose.

From the article:

As much as they hate to admit it now, national Democrats were against illegal immigration before they were for it.

All quotes guaranteed verbatim:

Barack Obama, 2005: “We simply cannot allow people to pour into the U.S. undocumented, undetected, unchecked, circumventing the people who are waiting patiently, diligently, lawfully to become immigrants in this country.”

Hillary Clinton, 2014: “I voted numerous times when I was a senator to spend money to build a barrier to try to prevent illegal immigrants from coming in and I do think you have to control your borders.”

President Trump (AP Photo/Evan Vucci)
Sen. Chuck Schumer, 2009: “People who enter the United States without our permission are illegal aliens and illegal aliens should not be treated the same as people who enter the U.S. legally. The American people will never accept immigration reform unless they truly believe that their government is committed to ending future illegal immigration.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, 2008: “We do need to address the issue of immigration and the challenge we have of undocumented people in our country. We certainly do not want any more coming in.”

Sen. Bernie Sanders, 2007: “I don’t know why we need millions of people to be coming into the country who will work for lower wages than American workers and drives wages down even lower than they are right now.”

Ex-Sen. Harry Reid, 1993: “If making it easy to be an illegal alien isn’t enough, how about offering a reward for being an illegal alien? No sane country would do that, right? Guess again … (If you’re an illegal immigrant who gives birth in the U.S. you can go on welfare immediately.) Is it any wonder that two-thirds of the babies born at taxpayer expense in the county-run hospitals in Los Angeles are born to illegal alien mothers?”

Democratic Party platform 1996: “We cannot tolerate illegal immigration and we must stop it … (At the border before Bill Clinton) drugs flowed freely. Illegal immigration was rampant. Criminal immigrants, deported after committing crimes in America, returned the very next day to commit crimes again. … We continue to firmly oppose welfare benefits for illegal immigrants. We believe family members who sponsor immigrants into this country should take financial responsibility for them, and be held legally responsible for supporting them.”

Yep, no crisis at the border. I guess it depends on the meaning of crisis.

Seems to me about a year ago the "crisis" was all over the news because of a continuation of an Obama policy by Trump to separate kids from their handlers.

Geez, it is tough to keep up with the Lib talking points.

If you could show me one post I have made advocating for people flowing into our borders that would be great. Just one will do. Not sure what that has to do with the OP but thanks for sharing

Let me try to clear this issue up for you.

The people on the border EVERY DAY, say there is a crisis.

The people that have to deal with the illegal aliens EVERY day say there's a crisis.

That's two subject matter EXPERTS that say there's a crisis. You've yet to offer a single word of proof to refute what they say. Please link something from a similar subject matter expert to convince me there's not one.

The border patrol and sheriffs are subject matter experts.

Democrat legislators aren't experts

News commentators aren't experts

Special interest groups aren't experts

Musicians aren't experts

Hollywood elite aren't experts

That's a good question, I guess you aren't a big fan of stats? The only thing that has increased is the number of families seeking asylum at the border
