No, that would not cause me to think that the border is in crisis. It would also not cause me to believe that all immigrants (legal or otherwise) are bad people who commit violent crimes.

It would cause me to think that a crime had been committed and that the perpetrator should be prosecuted.

There are several native demographic groups who commit violent crimes at FAR higher per capita rates than illegal immigrants. I would say that THEY are a far greater “crisis” than illegal immigrants.
