Thats precious.

So...anything short of streams of rapin' killin, city burnin' arsonists is good with you!

Sounds reasonable.

Considering that number has been in the millions before, I don't honestly know. I am not saying do nothing, I am saying lets be real about the issues and the best way to address them.

The experts say the best way to address the issue is a physical barrier.

And I agree, the overstayed visas are a huge deal.

Never said that. You asked a question and I gave you an answer. Words mean things, or they used to. The logic you are using here is the same logic you here from the left when there is a mass shooting, so congrats on that

From another thread.

The writer even thinks we should tear down walls that are already there.

This is where the radical left is headed. They disguise it as there is "no crisis", so we don't need a wall. Yet, they want to tear down the walls that are there because they are working to well. LOL.

That is ridiculous, I think some barriers on the border will be better for all involved (minus some landowners)

what is the their reasoning?

I live in Texas so I'll start there. Assuming you can take the time to read it all.

"Recent crime analysis by both the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Texas law enforcement authorities indicate that between June 2011 and March 2017, over 217,000 criminal immigrants were arrested and booked into Texas jails.

In researching the criminal careers of these defendants, it was revealed that they had jointly committed over nearly 600,000 criminal offenses. Their arrests included nearly 1,200 homicides; almost 69,000 assaults; 16,854 burglaries; 700 kidnappings; nearly 6,200 sexual assaults; 69,000 drug offenses; 8,700 weapons violations; over 3,800 robberies and over 45,000 obstructing police charges. In determining the status of these offenders in the U.S., it was confirmed by DHS that over 173,000 or 66 percent of these immigrant criminal defendants were in our country illegally at the times of their arrests."

I have never argued with the point that violent criminals are bad. Of those 173,000 how many got here crossing the border? If we believe the numbers then @ half of those overstayed visas. So @ 87,000 over 6 years? Those are important factors in determining how to best combat the border issues, wouldn't you agree? How much and what areas to best focus on to prevent more violent criminals

Ok, here's a FACT for you: At some point this year, someone illegally crossing the Southern border WILL come to this country and rape or sexually assault someone.

What would you do to prevent just ONE rape or sexual assault?

So some sheriffs at capitol hill = border crisis?

i'd say they have more credibility than a group of street shitting homeless retards in San Francisco or brain-dead singers and actors behind their walled mansions in Beverly Hills or dope dealers in Chicago or MS-13 gangs in Long Island - - - or evil DEMOCRATs in congress.

but that's just me.

BY THE WAY ==== WHAT HAPPENED TO "JUST ME" - a long time TD poster who hasn't been seen in a couple of years??? Anyone know??

Setting aside the fact that the “border expert” spokesman from this group is from farking MASSACHUSETTS and that the article did not cite one, single sheriff from a border area, when was the last time that a cop organization did NOT ask the feds to spend more money?

These are the same people who insist that Deputy Barney Fife in Podunk County, Tennessee simply MUST have full tactical and riot gear and that the federal government should provide the funds.

Migrant workers have been going and coming in this country for decades. Their impact or detriment is always exaggerated depending on who you are listening to. I do not think the migrant workers are a crisis for this country and I think the negative impact to immediately removing them all at once would be worse than most here think. IF we did have people literally streaming across the border and they were raping and killing everyone and setting cities on fire that would certainly be a crisis or emergency. What we have is an issue we have been dealing with for decades and by all accounts has improved exponentially over the last few decades. I would argue that as our border got more secure after 9/11 that resulted in more people being "stuck" in the US and increase in daca/dreamers
Do not try to use logic. It is pointless, because some halfwit has decided that there is a “crisis.”
