I guess this is the latest attempt to delay until after the election

quote:

President Donald Trump hasn’t announced a Supreme Court nominee yet, but some Democrats have already decided there’s no point in meeting with her, no matter who it is.

These Senate Democrats say it’s a no-brainer to shun whoever Trump chooses to replace the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg. A meeting would be fruitless not just because Trump is likely to pick a hard-line conservative, but because they’re still furious Majority Leader Mitch McConnell stonewalled Merrick Garland in 2016.

“This is an illegitimate nomination,” said Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.), who said he had “no intention” of meeting with the nominee. “I personally have no desire to pretend it’s acceptable.”

“No,” said Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.). “Why would you meet with somebody if you already know where they’re going to be on every case?”

Or, as Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) put it: “Whatever she has to say to me, she should say it under oath.”

That's the problem with democrats. They assume they know everything.

Naw, it's easy: McConnell announces a precise timeline and schedule, and Dems can either show up and participate or not. That decision is on them. I can't imagine any scenario wherein that brings the process to a halt. Don't think they're able to do it that way.

What does this even mean? Why would it have to be under oath? What a crazy person

You would think they would eventually learn but Dems never do, they just double down.

Unlike, EVERY F*CKING FAR LEFT WHACKJOB NOMINATED BY DEMOCRAT PRESIDENTS, Republican nominees aren't subject to whackjob litmus test.

So, is Bob Casey saying he hasn't meet with any Dim nominee?

CUZ we know EXACTLY how every Dim nominee will vote ON EVERY F*CKING CASE.

Great this will speed the process up.
I would still have the committee hearings though. Go through the correct process and don't give the dems or media any ammo for not following the process. Let the only argument the Dems have be that the GOP were hypocrites. Fine, you guys were just as hypocritical.

Have the hearings and let the Dems show up and make fools of themselves and show how vile they are, or either they boycott the hearings and you have the picture of no Dems in the hearing.

At least these dimwits have been invited to the meeting. Anyone else remember the ACA meeting the Dems had where no Republicans were even invited?
