Dear Senator Cassidy,
Disappointed doesn't even begin to express my thoughts. And while I know you are a good and virtuous man with a deep commitment to individual Americans and America itself, I want you to know that this Louisianan finds your participation in this clearly extra-Constitutional charade, to be a shame on our state. This appears from a distance to be Mitt Romney-level moral vanity and self-reverence. It's beneath you and it's beneath the dignity of the great state of Louisiana.
As such, I want you to understand that as someone who has met you, voted for you, and shares many of the same friends in our community,-I will never cast another vote for you, and will in fact, commit myself to supporting any effort to removing you from your current position. You not only made a mistake, but you draped it in the worst kind of sanctimonious self-regard that one would typically expect from one of your California or New York colleagues.
