Per Reuters.
quote:

Nine U.S. senators from states that have oil refineries sent a letter to President Donald Trump on Thursday urging changes to the country’s biofuels policy and asking for a meeting to discuss the issue.

All things being equal, I'd rather pay corn farmers than those Middle Eastern fuggers who financed 9/11.

However it seems like a questionable strategy to subsidize a food source to get it sucked into your energy supply.

Personally, I liked it better when we were just paying corn farmers to grow food.

Ethanol is a stupid product on just about every level.

Isn’t ethanol either a loser or zero net change as far as energy production?

As in, a car running on 100% gasoline tends to get 10% better mileage than a car running on 90% gas and 10% ethanol?

So essentially it is like a drug that gets shite added to it so the drug dealer can increase his product volume?

ethanol is just like adding extra water to a Coors Light beer. I really wish ethanol free did not cost so much it makes cars run so much better.

Yes...and it can destroy small engines.

Those right-wing Neo-Nazis at Yale University weigh in:

E85 fuel in “flex-fuel” vehicles may increase ozone-related mortality, asthma, and hospitalizations.

Ethanol is wayyy less fuel efficient and costs more to produce than regular gasoline

I wonder how relevant Iowa's position in the primary circuit is in relation to ethanol policy. I can't think of any reasonable or justifiable goal that comes out of it other than making corn farmers and ethanol processors happy.

Yeah, that is a dumb argument based off feelings. We would be better served going to pure gas.

About 3 times a month. I live near an ethanol free gas station.

Ethanol needs to the way of the dodo bird. It's made gas more expensive, burns gas faster, fricks up our vehicle's engines, and costs more money to produce than pure gas.

frick the welfare queens in Iowa that pushed their bullshite on the rest of us and frick George Bush for caving to them.

Thing is, winning or losing the Iowa Caucuses has not really been determinate of much at all with regard to the ultimate party nominees for some time.

It's sad that they get so much pandering for something that is so idiotically destructive on so many levels.

This is going to be a hard sell. Senator Grassley from Iowa is a big Trump and ethanol supporter and Grassley is a big Trump advocate in this entire MUH Russians investigation.

You remember that Ted Cruz told those welfare queens to get fricked and Ethanol sucks and he still won the Iowa primary anyway over Trump?

Hopefully that has convinced Trump of the lack of political reach Ethanol has now.

Correct. Ethanol fricked up my yard equipment until I starting using this.
