wow - FINALLY a bill that I agree with from congresscritters
well, there IS one bad thing (why wouldn't there be???)
the House needs to step up and pass this immediately

Senators will now go without pay during future shutdowns in a bid to instill the same pain on lawmakers that federal workers have felt several times in recent months.
The upper chamber unanimously passed a resolution to prevent senators from being paid in the event of a shutdown in a move that could thwart future closures by making the consequences real for lawmakers.
Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., who pushed the measure, argued that preventing lawmakers from collecting a paycheck was a "shared sacrifice" after tens of thousands of federal employees went without pay during the two shutdowns that have happened since last year.

The resolution won't kick in until after the upcoming November elections, meaning current shutdowns unaffected

This issue is most of these scumbags are filthy rich from outside dealings. Taking away their real job pay doesn't hurt them much.

Does this include their staffers?

The money possibly lost is both temporary as back pay kicks in and more enlightening is that their pay is more like a bonus of their real income, the illegal stock trades or kickbacks /payoffs or campaign contributions along with board seats and media deals.

Yep, they are making this a smoke show. They all make money from being whores for the chicoms Indians, Israel and their insider trading.
You put no insider trading in the bill, essentially Congress 401ks and outside investments should have to go in a blind trust while serving. You slap them with the rules that the Big 4 in accounting have on insider trading and I’d support this.

Their salary ain’t jack to them in comparison to the millions they acquire through trading.

Which is absolutely bullshite but the media doesn’t want to talk about it.
They are all making insane amounts on trades that would have me and you locked up for years.

Their salary is a fraction of what they receive. They don’t give a shite about that

Agreed but I'll take this no pay thing for the moment.

Tell us more about what they receive?
Is it unreported income?

It’s not even a blimp of a sacrifice my friend, this is a hidden ball trick. When you are making millions on insider trading and making more by selling our secrets do you care if a 5 or 6k check hits every two weeks?

They should have to go without trading stocks. The salary is trivial.

Do term limits for the permanent bureaucrats of the deep state.
