Hard to imagine there are people actually in favor of this slush fund.

I suspect because Rs and Ds were in on it.
It's about to be even more exposed...

I oppose it as well because the fund is a bad idea. The American people don’t need to be ripped off by billions of dollars for a fund to pay off J6 insurrectionists.
It sets a bad precedent.

The establishment wants Comey cronies applying?
Tillis is like a fish out of water. He does not want J6thers, others in Trumps orbit. to get a cent.
He is saying this as a paper tiger.. to get leverage back to save Cornyn.
So they suddenly want purse strings back to do their jobs, when they have no authority over this settlement?

Tillis announced retirement when it was clear he would be primaried.
Overall the Establishment is fuming at Trumps recent endorsements winning. PLUS the provacateur a-hole Massie was removed.
The plan was MAGA Is dead. What will they deploy next?

Trump's pulling the fake conservative mask off the face of the Rockefeller Republicans and they hate it.

1) Well the GOP, with an assist from the courts, seems to be succeeding in reversing the gerrymandering that the Democrats were doing. But of course, the expected Democrat take on that is that now blacks won't have a voice in their own government.
2) But looking at it bigger picture, the Dems have really stepped up their hateful and even dangerous rhetoric. I think Temu Obama and others gave away the plan when they basically started referring to MAGA victories as tyranny.
We will know when we are truly winning by just how extreme these straight-up thugs start to act.

Republicans in both the House and Senate are quickly moving to stop the DOJ/IRS settlement with President Trump that establishes a $1.776 billion victim’s compensation fund for those targeted by corrupt government conduct.
The move in the Senate is particularly Machiavellian considering they recently established a $500,000 system of penalties for government conduct after they found out the Jack Smith investigation had subpoenaed their private phone records.
Buried on page 217 of the 2025 Senate Continuing Resolution Bill [TEXT HERE], Republican Senators inserted legislation to “retroactively” pay themselves $500,000 each for every line of communication, telephone record, email or other electronic communication, subpoenaed by the Jack Smith Special Counsel during the Arctic Frost investigation. The targeting of Republican senators was too much for the Republican Senators to bear.

Well, that's what happens when you go beat Senators in primaries with 8 months left in the year.
