North Carolina Republican Sen. Thom Tillis, retiring next year, told Politico he will block the $1.776 billion anti-weaponization fund from a Trump-IRS settlement and oppose nominees like Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, whom he called incompetent.
He frames his stance as protecting GOP seats, criticizing ideas like payouts to Jan. 6 convicts and 50-year mortgages pushed by Trump's advisers, even embracing the RINO label to reject what he calls stupid stuff.
Trump hit back on social media, labeling Tillis weak and ineffective, while broader tensions stall bills like the SAVE America Act and a $72 billion immigration measure amid pushback from senators like John Thune.

I’ve been saying on here that they are worse than Dems.
I don’t even think they’re RINOs. They are something different. They are more like a group of mercenaries bent on making themselves wealthy by purely exploiting their position, and they clearly have a little team that works together.
