From a practical standpoint, I think illegals who are currently working for instance as pickers in agriculture, might be given the option to be documented and given green cards allowing them to continue to work in the U.S. But to apply for citizenship, they will need to return to their home countries. It doesn't make sense to allow someone who violated immigration law to be allowed to apply for citizenship while they are here illegally.
I think it will be absolutely something like this for many of them. Although I do see them not sending everyone back.
When you consider how many times he said “there will be no incentive for them to be here” to me thats a politician’s way of saying we can’t get them all actively. If I had to put money about 30% get sent back, they largely clean out these gangs or towns where massive numbers have been just plopped into the population, work on the physical security of the border and call it a day.

Yeah but some of those are skilled or semi-skilled positions.
Look, it's gonna take some growing pains to shift these jobs back to American citizens.
There might be something to offering temporary and conditional visas to skilled workers

The world is not this simple though. Half these lazy fricks won’t even work in simple air conditioned retail type jobs. You think they’re going to to agricultural towns and start doing manual labor? frick no. Now we can have a different discussion on entitlement programs but it’s not as simple as replacing a number with a number unfortunately.

Trump made progress on welfare in his first term and I like to see him pick up where he left off. Stop the entitlement state and you’ll start seeing some of these industries have the workers they need.
We’ll never shift the needle on this while people are living off the government.

I don't care the cost getting rid of these parasites. If it cost two trillion so be it. If you don't have borders you don't have a country and there is no price tag on our country. Deport all 30 million or whatever the number but they all need to go back.

We’re in agreement! Plus, keeping them here is a never ending debt to our taxpayers. Get them out and don’t let them come back since they have already proven to be a burden to our country.
Build up their country and stop being a parasite trying to live off of tax dollars.

I saw somewhere that Trump should consider putting large fees on money orders being sent out of the country. This is how they “safely” move their money back to their families. Make every aspect of being illegally in our country painful and you will suffocate them out. At least then they would be contributing more to our country rather than just exporting cash back to their country.
But let’s be honest.
There are some here that care NOTHING about their family back home. They are here for the free dole.

IMO doing this will also serve as deterrent for people trying to come here.
It won’t stop all of it but at least make many think twice about coming.

Immensely satisfying to watch bitter hard-nose horse-faced bi*** Dana Bash have to transition from interviewing a Republican senator-elect about mass deportation to breaking news about how Jack Smith has no choice but to give up his blatantly political lawfare cases against President Trump.
She was frothing at the mouth like a dog with rabies hounding Vivek and other Republicans--she thinks she's so much smarter, better and morally superior to all of us--well hey baby, guess what?
Four years minimum of eating crow like this, straight down the hatch. That's how much the American people hate you. Take your medicine, Dana Bash!

We will have enough to keep us busy for a while just returning those who have been arrested or are criminals.

Get them all out. However, does anyone else think taking 8 years to become a citizen is crazy?

Name the jobs that 3.5 years ago were going unfilled and had such a dire, desperate need that importing 15 million people into country was necessary.
In 2019 we had a great economy, joblessness was low, wages rose in the middle class and lower class, we were a net exporter of energy, money was flowing into the country and the outlook for the USA was bullish.
The drain on the US taxpayer is between $150-$200 billion per year after whatever the 'benefit' is of unfettered illegal immigration. This is not a guess or supposition. This is from the Center for Immigration Studies.
To put the cost of illegal immigration into perspective, the US spends, annually:
$45-$50 billion on foreign aide.
$45-$50 billion on NATO
$55-$60 billion on staffing and maintaining our foreign military bases.
It costs more to have 15 million illegals in our country than to support our foreign support for aide and military. Hello? McFly? This is a HUGE problem.
And this just looks at annual costs. Over the life of an illegal immigrant each represents a financial drain of $65,000, which, at 15 million illegals, is just shy of a trillion dollarsbin gross dollars, not counting the massive debt on interest service from borrowing to pay for it all.
Imagine the strength of the US economy if instead of spending nearly a trillion dollars that we didn't need to. What would the economy look like? What would our debt be like? How would our taxes look? How would employment look? How would home budgets look? How would home prices look?
The answers to those questions all point similarly to one answer: this would be a vastly different country. It would feel like a steady course instead of like a rudderless boat lost at sea being moved around by the winds of change and uncertainty. We have the ability to chart our own destiny and should not give it away because we feel sorry for others who come from poorly managed countries.
I do see the logistical challenges of identifying and deporting, and the obstructionistic tactics the media will use to paint the actions to remove illegals as heartless and cruel. Life is tough and not fair. Thankfully, X will alleviate that, and Trump's new FCC Commissioner, and AG will put licensing pressure on the broadcasters to play fair. This won't be easy, and hopefully, a Republican House and Senate can pass meaningful, productive legislation to create a better, more streamlined immigration policy that brings in immigrants, legally, that can immediately contribute and not be a net drain on our economy.

It’s pretty easy… start with criminals and demand all local LEO detain and hand over illegals to the feds.
If they refuse, you pull federal funding to the state until they do

I grew up in a small town. Two main industries were farming and tourism. In my teens to early twenties, the only time we saw Hispanics in town were during the farming season.
There was a lot of talk about how they were treated, and how they were underpaid.
This is not fair. Not to them. And not fair to the locals who could have used those jobs.
Edit- There were also hidden and open hostilities towards the farmers paying them. In a small town like I was in, word spreads very fast, and opinions form even faster.
