Grew up going to Bourbon St. And city since I was a teenager.
Rule of thumb:
1- don’t bring a wallet.
2. Put your ID & cards & cash in front pocket.
3- if for whatever reason your carrying decent amount of cash, put the bulk of it in your sock in the event you get robbed, you don’t lose it all.
It’s a shame you have to live that way, but is what it is!
