I’ve been there. 20 years ago. That attitude’s only gotten worse

I'm thinking it was 2003 when I attended Mardi Gras my one and only time. Young dindunuffins, like 10-12 y.o., were literally everywhere trying to scope out targets and we witnessed a couple attempted "grab and run" incidents that failed spectacularly.

I'm guessing after Katrina and the mass exodus, the vacuum has been filled by illegal immigrants. I can only imagine how much worse it is now. Had an opportunity to go, all expenses paid, last year and quickly said 'nah'.

Weird. Lot of illegals in my area are around 4'8 to 5'5. I'm only 5'10, and makes me feel like a giant by comparison.

Bigger question? Why would anyone carry a wallet In their back pocket in New Orleans, during Marci Gras?

How do you know they were migrants?

5' 4" hispanic who didn't speak English... How much would you like to wager? I'll risk a lot of money to be proven "wrong" on that one. Nerd.

Don't put your wallet in your back pocket when going to Canal Street and the FQ.....everyone knows this.

Years ago there was a ring of Columbian pick pockets who were trained and learned at the "School of the Bells"
