The Gulf of Mexico would reach Arkansas before Block Island, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket flooded. They are basically mountains sticking out of the Atlantic Ocean.
You should visit there sometime as the summer is gorgeous, but they are far from “sea level”
WUUUT?
Nantucket averages about 20ft. above sea level. Katrina would have flooded 75% of the island.

Nantucket is the lowest of the three with lows of 30 feet but several places over 100 feet elevation. There’s places on Block Island where you have to walk down 120 stairs to get to the beach.

What existential threat? The left destroying America for their agenda?

You climate deniers have been shown a mountain of evidence, yet you continue to insist there is no problem.
Hell, this is accelerating at ludicrous speed. This rise in sea level occurred in one day.
It's so bad, it occurs almost EVERY day.

So we have about another 25 feet of sea levels to rise to where they were about 100,000 years ago before any human intervention…….check.

How do they actually measure sea levels?
Asking for a friend.

What are DeSantis and the Republican Florida legislature doing to address this existential crisis?
And this man is preferred as a presidential candidate, by many. He needs to take care of his own house first

Reminds me of the Gilligan Island Episode, where the island is sinking.

Someone responds all the time that he’ll start to believe something is going on when banks won’t make loans to buy beach houses. The step to that day is when you can’t insure a property. Insurances are pretty crazy and I know I was paying $2k per year in Monroe County and I’m now paying $7k and the glide path is at like 18% per year. It’s one of the reasons I ditched some rental properties in Florida and bought stuff in places like Boise.
As for DeSantis his budget this year has big money set aside for sea level rise projects. These mostly entail sea walls, pumping stations, injection wells, and raising the roads. I’m sure if DeSantis is stumping in Omaha he will call sea level rise a hoax. In Florida he’s 100% on board with climate change problems because it’s not a partisan issue in Florida. The middle of a freakin island is flooded during high tide cause the water is coming up through the storm drains. In most cases Republican leaders are doing more than democrat leaders because the republicans are seeking more plausible solutions.

Our leaders would never lie to us !!

The gloom and doom is based on highly adjusted data being fed into junk models and extrapolated beyond the error bars. More scientific fraud.

Here is the Obama’s house, I’m not an expert on sea levels but I’m guessing you are wrong.

Good lord, the irony in this post could build a battleship.
Take a breath, Einstein, and Google “Bay of Fundy” while you do.
