But another is that our Universe is a computer simulation, with someone (perhaps an advanced alien species) fine-tuning the conditions.

Wouldn’t said advance alien society need to live in a universe tuned for life?

What about people who live in a different god's universe?

You have cited an interesting alternate theory. It does not “debunk” anything.

Hmm, so no one has debunked God then... Thanks for the clarification.

Sure, but "you haven't debunked it" isn't exactly strong evidence.

No Dodge. NDEs are explainable and even able to be reproduced. They don't lead to an existence of your god. Interesting how almost all have experiences that include the god they happen to believe in. Provide a peer reviewed scientific study that concludes that NDEs prove a god exists.

Haven't ignored the ontological arguments. They just don't lead back to a god, much less a specific god. You would still be left with 1000s to choose from even if you could use the ontological argument to get you to a god existing.

Sometimes it is best to just say, I don't know, I will look into it, than to throw up a word salad that simply demonstrates you have no clue what you are talking about.

And that mere fact is very, very, important.

Because atheists for years have sat back smugly and pointed out that evolution had no alternate scientific competitor.

Now, it does.

Of course not. It is impossible to disprove the existence of a deity, because Believers will always assert that God underlies any scientific explanation..

Of course, it IS possible to PROVE the existence of God. He need only make an appearance, but He has declined to do so for unknown reasons.

I simply am not convinced any god is real based on available evidence. If the time comes when that evidence becomes available, I'll change my mind. I prefer to believe things that can demonstrated to be real, rather than those that cannot.

You should step outside every once in a while, take a look around and give it some thought. Science says you should see entropy and things on their way to entropy. That is not what is out there. Why?

Macro vs Micro evolution are non-scientific concepts. It's all evolution. Creationists like to create the two categories to allow them some room to appear "scientific". Macro evolution is just micro evolution over a long period of time.

Please link a peer reviewed paper showing evidence of intermediate forms of species to species evolution. I'll wait.

You're kidding right? There are many many many many "intermediate" (as you call them) fossils.

You could not have failed more on this gotcha

I figured this is where the 'follow the science' crowd gets off the science train.

Nobody is trying to "disprove God". Scientists have agendas, for sure, but disproving a non-corporal deity would be a ridiculous pursuit for an empiricist, would it not?

Correct. I generally stick to science that follows the scientific method.

The simulation hypothesis is no better than religion.
