So what is the percentage of man's responsibility 1%,10%? We have no idea IF man actually has been a cause. Is it possible of course it is but we do have solid facts of the Earth's climate changing multiple times with man not even being around. Mankind sure thinks alot of itself to presume we are powerful enough to change the Earth's climate change.

Sidenote: Earth doesn't go around the sun at the same distance all the time. There are times we are closer to the sun when we go around her. I wonder what happens when you get closer to a heat source?

All your comments are essentially correct in that post. Few people disagree with the basic rationale that climate changes, and man can slightly affect it.

Where the battle starts is the morons who proclaim its an emergency and we must “do something”. As a really good problem solver I can safely state I’ve had to fix more problems by people who had to “do something” than people who spent 5 minutes thinking about whether they should.

Get China and India to outsource the solution before forcing me to charge an electric vehicle.

Lex Fridman’s podcast had Jordan Peterson on recently and he made a very cogent case for why the alarmists are the last people we should listen to on this or almost any issue.

It actually gets colder in the northern hemisphere when the earth is closes to the sun, global weather systems are unimaginably complicated and not that easy to characterize

During winter the northern hemisphere is actually closest to the sun

quote:

We're always farthest from the sun in early July during northern summer and closest in January during northern winter. Meanwhile, it's winter in the Southern Hemisphere because the southern part of Earth is tilted most away from the sun.

It's always the same people panicking about everything. They need that feeling, they are addicted to it, I think drama and panic release adrenalin for them, and they thrive on that.

Yes, but it's not entirely about distance. It's mostly about angle and hours of light in the day.

As you drill down into details, yes, but the seasons aren't that complicated. More sun exposure = warmer, less = cooler.

Yeah, that viking put his arrow under that glacier on purpose. Just to frick with people.

Well they were a strong people. He just reached down, picked up the glacier, grabbed his bow and arrow with one foot, held it and shot the arrow under it.

What's really telling is how gently he set the glacier down very slowly as to not break that perfect arrow.

Not exactly. He is trying to prove his point with the claim that the arrow proved there was no ice there 1,500 years ago.

He's literally saying "if arrow is present then too warm for ice," that is a logical fallacy.

Oh no no no.

I stated that the arrow had to be there before the glacier that just melted away.

This a warmer climate.

They are saying that the rate of warming is unnaturally high due to man’s activities.

How would we fricking know what the rate would be without us? So much "science" is based on a single data point, a theory that is useful, political pressure to stifle scientific debate, followed by proclamations of "settled science" and mandates.

One point Peterson made that would be extremely valuable for the public to understand is how they use power words and pretend that they're facts. "The model says that...." or "The data proves..." as though models are some objective source of scientific facts. To someone not in a technical field it sounds very impressive, which is why they use that language.

Heating and cooling of the earth is natural....and the progs think they can control the climate!!!!

Ice froze and ice melted....long before the industrial revolution!

Delusional may not be a harsh enough word for the green reset movement!

Its not that Climate Change is BS. Its that we are somehow the reason for ALL of it, that is the BS point.

There are several climate scientists that have said just that.

The other hilarious point is, I believe its 60% or more of all energy produced requires coal or natural gas. How are they going to replace that?

Also, ok, everyone is now mandated to drive electric cars. Where is that waste going when the batteries are replaced?

Even when we e-waste computer and other electronic parts at my workplace for "carbon credits" do you think those are being recycled?

Hell no. They are being sent to landfills in 3rd world countries.

Even a majority of plastics arent being recycled. There was study done that places trackers on plastics sent off to be recycled.

Sure, some were, but a majority jumped through various facilities in Europe until, they too, ended up at landfill in Africa.

When you bring this up, they dont want to hear it.
