Schumer says Acquittal will have giant asterisk by it

Was I the only one who heard this and was confused? Is he saying that the house impeached him without facts? Is he also admitting that he voted to convict Trump without Facts and without a fair trial? If you don't have any facts the only thing you can do is acquit.
