We must let him do his job we mustn't interfere!

Glenn Greenwald
?
@ggreenwald
In anticipation of the less-than-devastating Mueller report he wanted, @RepAdamSchiff is now starting to attack Robert Mueller's investigation as inadequate, lax and negligent. Is it now permissible to impugn the former FBI Director & Special Counsel?

House Intelligence chairman voices concern that Mueller’s scrutiny of Trump’s finances isn’t adequate Via @gregpmiller https://wapo.st/2MWi2kK

quote:

Schiff voiced concern that Mueller has shied away from investigating Trump’s ties to the German lender, saying that “if the special counsel hasn’t subpoenaed Deutsche Bank, he can’t be doing much of a money laundering investigation.” Schiff was referring to reports last year that Mueller’s office had told Trump’s lawyers it was not seeking Deutsche Bank records related to Trump’s accounts or loans. Deutsche Bank became a critical lender to Trump in the late 1990s when major U.S. banks refused to do business with the New York real estate developer after repeated bankruptcies.

So this is what Schif for brains thinks is money laundering? Pretty evident that US banks thought Trump to be a risk investment, so Deutsche bank lent him the money at a higher interest rate to account for that gamble. Seems like it paid off for both Trump and Deutche bank.

Same thing with Comey. They loved Comey up until Comey basically said, "Yeah, Hillary broke the law, but we won't prosecute". The resident lefties were irate at Comey. But, now they love him again.

If you are looking for consistency, then by rule, a liberal can NEVER be consistent with his beliefs/rules.

Shitt for brains knows that when the Mueller report is out and it's a big nothing burger we get to see what Huber and the IG have to say and whether he and others will then be investigated for pushing a false narrative that lead to the investigation of a hoax.

Muh institutions

Mark my words - when this thing ends they’ll immediately call for a new investigation not led by a “Republican”. Mueller presents the best of both worlds for them, he’s a friend but if things don’t pan out they can sky scream that this was partisan

Well, he's doing a Russian collusion investigation, for starters.

I find it humorous that members of Congress think that their investigations work or are meaningful 'oversight'. They never deliver what is promised, always last far longer than the average person's attention span, and just spiral into a tit-for-tat next time the House switches parties.

End of the day, they'll spend hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars, waste countless hours in committee hearings, and use up about 18-24 months.... all so that they can have a press conference on CSPAN one Thursday afternoon to release a 4,000 page report that no one will read.

Exactly. And based on that meeting they found out about in Aspen between Schiff and Simpson, anyone within two hops of either of those people should be very very concerned.
