Historically I believe there have been only two presidential elections where the winning party for the president did NOT carry the winning party for the House. That was for Chester A. Arthur (R) and Howard Taft (R) where the House went Dem.

Not saying the House won't flip Dem if Trump wins but it is unlikely and rare when it does happen.

order of importance

1) win presidency (obvious reasons)
2) win senate (judicial nominations)
3) win house

That would absolutely backfire on the Dems. They could hold out for 2 years, but midterms would be devastating for them.

It’s bad optics all around for them.

Unfortunately, their mainstream media machine keeps them locked in their fantasy bubble.

Accuracy matters.

Oh but you're wrong. States like California purposefully and needlessly stretch the elections out for weeks on end.

I'm sure we just "won't be able to know" how the House shakes out until mid-December. Which of course is a huge factor in undermining confidence in the election process to begin with, considering its completely unnecessary.

Its a shame that such a situation is totally unavoidable.

Because the media covers for them and helps them I don’t think it will backfire.

They are good at this shite unfortunately.

They will try to block him from being sworn in by invoking 14A Sec 3. If that fails, they’ll repeatedly impeach him. All while screaming that Trump is a “threat to democracy” and that he is creating a “constitutional crisis”.

if that happens, then Democrats are just begging for a civil war in this country!
