They've been getting funding and weapons and materials from Russia and China. They've also reportedly been supporting militia and terrorist groups in other parts of the middle east. That doesn't seem like a passive country or a hollow threat to me. It seems like a persistent threat and actual source of conflict in and around the Persian Gulf.

So by your logic Donald is publicly begging for China to provide relief for a situation that they support?

There are many other sources of oil, and the Saudis are no longer dependent on the Strait of Hormuz.

Until the Houthi's join the party and cause a major slow down into the Red Sea, and they almost certainly will.

Not one of Iran's proxy partners bringing another place under threat!

They mined the Persian Gulf in the past.

Uses these guys as a threat.

But naw they never have tried to!

Are you suggesting that China hasn't been providing support and weapons to Iran?

You're welcome to figure out your own rationale for what leaders do and say during wartime, but in the history of wars, words and actions are very different things. Personally, I think Trump handed China a fig leaf, maybe even an olive branch, but he was not begging for them to do anything. US and Israel have been dismantling Iran for two weeks and will continue to do so. Whatever China eventually sends, if anything, due to Trump's statement, won't change that.

Several countries have that ability. We should free them all!

You may not want it to be but it is.

Anyone of those chokeholds shut down would have massive ramifications to the global economy.

Attacking IRAN was absolutely the right thing to do.....it is never a good time to use military force, but IRAN is BAD and needs to be removed from the planet.

This will be good for the ENTIRE WORLD once done.....and everybody knows it.

Oil didn't spike when that cargo ship got stuck in the Suez.

First of all it did.

It just didn’t last as long or change as much because it got cleared quickly and it wasn’t a result of civilian ships literally being attacked.

Whereas Trump has shown no signs of letting up and it doesnt seem like the regime in Iran is changing. Hence no reason to believe anything will change.

They relented because they don’t want other nations joining the fight. They want to keep it at Israel and Iran.

Maybe I’m just stupid. If the straight is 30 miles wide.. how hard is it to get ships through it ? Surely there not in danger the entire way through

Yeah. You’re stupid.

They have things called rockets, drones, and missiles. These can go many miles to strike a target. Even a moving one.

I do agree with your last statement though.

I want to know where these potential missiles could shot from or is it still drones that the ships are worried about?

Figured from the way Trump has spoken about the annihilation they would be down to only hand grenades and guns by now.
