Sure. That’s why socialism is so popular with millineals. Because they crave personal responsibility and paying for their own necessities like education and healthcare.

And I’m unsurprised you don’t don’t have a clue that farming is energy intensive and heavily reliant on petroleum production. How do you think food get planted, fertilized, grown successfully on ever smaller acreage, harvested, and delivered to your kitchen?

nobody’s debating this

unfortunately, you asserted that if one ‘eat food raise (sic) on any type of farm?’ then ‘you don’t really make any significant sacrifices.’

so unless one is completely off the grid for all food sources, they’re not making any significant sacrifices?

If I didn’t know better it Sounds like you are trying to justify a massive theft of their assets via democratic socialism.

Now Replace “the boomers” with “the Jews” and know who do you sound like?

That’s what you got from that?

Lol. No but if more boomers could quit writing stupid shite like what the OP shared and actually support their kids and grandkids, that would be super fricking rad.

Pretty much, that’s the case. Sorry. You can’t have all the modern products that make civilized life possible without the feedstocks that produced them.

My point was that green technology already exists so there’s no point in challenging these “twerpy kids” to A/Cless classrooms if they really care about the classroom. My point is it’s just another stupid boomer with some weak arguments.

You are so ignorant. Listen child, green technology exists but it isn't even close to being a mature, cost effective, reliable, and meet energy density requirements to even approach meeting the base grid requirements. Something you and the stupid kids both lack is a fundamental understanding of thermodynamics and above-grade-school physical science. One of the most basic concepts in energy transfer phenomena is the understanding the there is a quality as well as quantity aspect. Solar and wind are low quality sources of energy. Fossil fuels and nuclear are extremely high quality sources. Until you understand that, STFU about boomers

Well nothing will change with that shitty attitude! And is kinda the reason for the protests in the first place, so thanks for making my point for me, boomer scum.

Sure. You (incorrectly presumed) age-based insults are the hallmark of a strong intellect.

Good job proving the OP correct. The self-BOOM is the best BOOM!

I don’t think I assumed anything incorrectly, you just haven’t learned how to think for yourself from what your stupid wasteful boomer mom taught you.

Things will change but technology won't spontaneously make the considerable leaps required to move away from fossil fuels just because children stomp their feet and demand it to. Retarded Millenial can't take the fact his STEM education is garbage...

Ok. If the biggest voices in climate hysteria change their ways... I’ll listen.

But you know what your biggest problem is? The loudest voices for climate disaster use insurmountably more fossil fuels than the people they are preaching to. They have multiple homes with many being on the coast. They fly private because they like luxury and exclusivity. They are driven around in SUVs because they can’t be cramped.

And they want ME to pedal my arse to work? Set MY thermostat to the 80s in the summer? I don’t think so scooter. They have to have an SUV? I’m driving my 15mpg Armada with a huge case of the don’t give a shits too.

Let’s see al Gore downsize to a 1200 sq ft home with his thermostat set at 80 degrees. Let’s see DeCaprio Skype his next award speech from a 1000 sq ft condo instead of flying his private jet there.

But but but it’s a climate emergency!!! Well. It’s not when they are personally not worried about it. Hypocrisy doesn’t sell what you are peddling. When Obama is buying large mansions on the beach... he can shut the F up about his concern for rising sea levels and carbon.

And I’m personally done more for climate change than they have. I helped replant 120 acres of timber that we had to cut in 94 after an ice storm decimated it. They are still growing and sucking in CO2. Sucking in the CO2 that pampered little shits pump into the air while telling ME to change my lifestyle.

Oh my gawd. No one protesting expects it to happen overnight. But the general apathy and refusal to be accountable for a generation of sloppiness has become tiresome and inexcusable. That’s what the protests are about. So regardless of the challenges we will face, the OPs “savage takedown” is a prime example of it and I’m not here for it.

Plastic pollution in worlds' oceans could have $2.5 trillion impact

LINK

At what point do we try and do better? When the ocean dies and it’s not producing oxygen for us anymore?

And my ageist anger comes from boomers saying to my face that they don’t care because they’ll be gone by then. People with grandchildren. Its pathetic and it needs to stop.

You deflected and went full circle jerk about climate change.

Stop blaming other people, educate yourself a bit more before you cry about climate change.

No what we need are better role models to have the same size platforms as the people you named. No one is stopping anyone from championing this cause.

I lead by example in my family and in my community and it’s not a huge sacrifice.

More people could and should do the same.

Policy and corporate regulations are nothing new, they just need to be re-evaluated and modernized to deal with the uptick in population, technology, etc.
