Let’s just stop where we are and make adjustments and adapt from there.

Would you say that we have progressed and benefited from some deforestation and the destruction of some habitats?

It's not possible that you're serious with that sentiment.

Wow. A g a i n. As technology and innovation in this market improves, so does the number of people realizing that we can live in a modern economy that lifts up and supports businesses and ideas who are careful of their emissions and footprint and give a shite about what happens to the product at the end of its life. And a g a i n. It’s primarily an older, ignorantly stubborn generation of baby boomers - such as the writer of the OPs sad little diatribe against the youth of today and their protest, that is the hindrance to this reality.

You pipsqueaks who think climate catastrophe is a new industry crack me up

What is upsetting is the digging heels of a dying generation that refuses to see the error of their ways or any propensity to change.
Outside of a "hive mind" framework and understanding of those terms, what, specifically, are you referring to??
Posted on 9/22/19 at 8:58 pm to Dale51
I really want you to continue to believe that actually. It would bother me to know you reaped any of the rewards.

Do you use HVAC? Take hot showers? Eat sushi? Buy flowers? Travel internationally? Eat food raise on any type of farm? Use a computer? If you do any of the above you don’t really make any significant sacrifices.
i love these “arguments”
unless you give up your car, computer, food raise (sic) on any type of farm (actually that’s a new one and impressive dumb) then you’re not making an impact

Explain to us what *you* are doing, personally, to "have an impact". Impress us.

Honest question. What’s your educational background? Specifically related to the topics at hand.

“The boomers inherited a rich, dynamic country and have gradually bankrupted it. They habitually cut their own taxes and borrow money without any concern for future burdens. They’ve spent virtually all our money and assets on themselves and in the process have left a financial disaster for their children.”

to the surprise of none, you completely missed the point
i don’t do anything over the top. try to be conscious of making less of an impact with mixed success.
it’s not about impressing anyone

So what?? The number "grows" from blip to BIG blip and that means what, exactly??

Thats, nice.
What does that matter when the flaccid "alternative energy", remains, in context, flaccid and unsatisfying and unreliable, and unpredictable and expensive?
Maybe you can sell that shtick to dippy true believers, but the real world, of objective and observable reality say's..."Sell that crazy somewhere else."?

And I’m unsurprised you don’t don’t have a clue that farming is energy intensive and heavily reliant on petroleum production. How do you think food get planted, fertilized, grown successfully on ever smaller acreage, harvested, and delivered to your kitchen?
I guess giving up straws will save us all. Thank heavens for sacrifices!!
