Reading the democrats on this board, you’d think the world was on fire

That’s the most tragic thing about today

Two sides literally see a different world before them. We cannot even agree on objective reality

Only 13% of Democrats are satisfied with how things are going...the surest sign that you're doing something right.

Gallup: Satisfaction with the way things are going in the US reaches a 13 year high, hitting 38%.

Title is correct but this still says that most people are not happy.

direction is a subjective opinion. I am not particularly happy about the direction of this country, and I haven't been for a long time.

Start listening to Scott Adams, he does periscopes daily. He discusses how persuasion works, how trump is so good at persuasion and how people are seeing completely different “movies” of reality while faced with the same sets of facts. Good insight.

That's the problem, they don't have an objective reality. Everything they've been screaming about (the injustices, the racism, the sexism, etc.) has been their own brand of delusion that isn't grounded in objectivity.

I deal in facts.

My paycheck is higher.

My job security is better.

My taxes are lower.

My company is hiring like wildfire and increasing wages to retain talent.

Threat from North Korea is dwindling.

ISIS who?

Taliban who?

Stronger border.

Also, anyone notice that far fewer good black boys who didn't do nuffin have been shot for no reason by white racist cops since Trump took over for Obama?

I saw a recruiting commercial this morning for One Hour Heating and Air. I've never seen something like that before. The economy must be doing damn good if a company is begging people to apply for a job on television.

So, 2005 - the last time Republicans controlled the Oval Office and both houses of Congress and now 2017 when Republicans occupy the Oval Office and both houses of Congress are the two highest percentages during that time?

Well I sure as hell don't need a brick upside my head to interpret what that means.

While true, I think it is telling that fewer people were happy when Obama was in office, and way too many people (Progressives) thought he was the best President we've ever had.

I'd like to know what things have gotten worse than they were under Obama to make them feel this way.
