Capitol rules require that displays have to be taken down each night.

You know, the Capitol could just follow the first amendment/establishment clause altogether and not allow religious displays of any kind.

Dunno. It should apply to public buildings of any kind running on tax dollars whether it be state or fed.

My faith in God/Jesus is not a belief. It is a lack of belief in evidence that there is no god.

The establishment clause specifically reads as "Congress shall make no law".

That leaves tons of room for other state sponsored religion.

For you to change my lack of belief of evidence there is no God I will need an atheist to post one bit of evidence to prove there is no God?

Any takers?

They must be pretty evil, since only really, really evil people have bad things happen to them.

Actually, I remember now, the 14th amendment pretty much applies and incorporates the bill of rights to the states as well.

SCOTUS cases in cantwell and Everson sealed the deal.

but chalking everything that happens to good people as "part of God's plan" is a pretty weak excuse, don't you think?
