Santa Claus, Christmas trees and the colors red and green are examples of inappropriate “religious iconography” during the holiday season, according to a paper distributed during a “Respecting Religious Diversity” event at the University of Minnesota.
These people have lost their fricking minds.
How in the hell can you "celebrate religious diversity" if no one is allowed to use the icons of their religion?
Sounds more like "hide your religion" to me.

Exactly.
How in the world can you be diverse if everyone is conforming to the same generic standard?

Why can't Universities just say...New Memo - we don't respect religious symbols of any kind. That's our respecticing religious diversity by disrepescting all religions.
But no that would seem oppresive and bigoted if Islamic students didn't get excused from class during the weeks of Ramadan like when I was in College. They got like three weeks excused absence.
Hell the black students only got 1 day excused absence. MLK day in College.
The White kids got marked absent if they didn't attend all days. No Christian holiday mattered to the administration.

At first appearance this looks way over the top and it may very well be. However it also seems fishy. ( actually, it’s baloney. See below) The letter is not signed by anyone or any organization nor is it on University letterhead. It’s a folded up piece of paper that looks like some group of snowflakes put together and handed out on their own at this event. Is there any kind of documentation that this was officially from the University?
EDT: yeah, this is complete bullshite. When you go to the website at the bottom of the crumpled up piece of paper, they list the various religious holidays including “Christmas”. There is nothing about that pamphlet or even mention of anything that is in the pamphlet.
Looks like FOXNews and you guys got taken for a ride.

Looks like you didn't read the fricking story in your haste to say something negative about "Fox News"
Nowhere in the story does it say the university did it.
However the university like damn near all of them let's left wing kooks run roughshod over the campus without uttering a peep. Why didn't the university call bullshite?

Start celebrating Jesus's birth in September when it actually was. That would really mess with them

I have a winter home in St Paul to live next to my grandkids in the summer. Sometimes I go up there for Xmas.
Last time I checked the pine trees all over are green and the snow which there is no shortage of is white.
They are so pc idiot that the Muslims are basically taking it over so soon they will not have to worry about Christian or Jewish holidays.

Ohio St took a pretty ballsy stance against the SJWs last year.
Looks like that was last year. This year they don't want people wearing red or green.

Remember when atheists used to say on this forum that Christians were cray and paranoid?
Posted on 12/16/17 at 6:22 am to Quidam65
This was a university event probably organized by the annoying kinds of atheists.
The school as a whole isn’t banning Christmas. Where does it say the president of the university said students can’t have Christmas decorations?

Are all the schools in the Big Ten trying to out-left each other?
They huddle in their safe spaces constantly coming up with new ways to out-prog themselves.
And the administration rolls over to every demand.
