Anecdotal evidence here, but something was really off yesterday at Sams in Covington. Completely out of strawberries, and they only had one section of eggs (which were $10) compared to having 4-5 normally. There were other sections in the store that were bare shelves as well, but I didn't notice what they were. Maybe it's just an anomaly or maybe moving shelves, but damn it was eerie. I sure do hope this isn't the warning signs of a coming food shortage.

Facebook post ended. Have a nice day

Things have been normal here. However, over the last 2 weeks the options with beef are way down and what they do have is more expensive.

My father went up to the Sams in Covington either Thursday or Friday. They had trucks loading up with bottled water. Big trucks. Pretty much cleaned the place out on water. He assumed they were going to Florida. Apparently Wally World had pledged millions in money and supplies. So I don't know if this was Wal Mart's doing, or if this was some other organization that cleaned them out of the water.

That wouldn't explain the fresh fruit and egg situation exactly; I don't know if they would be shipping that kind of stuff down there.

Neighborhood Wally World in Central (BR) had more stuff today than I've seen in a long, long, time. It's like the plandimic never happened.

I keep hearing about grocery stores being low on stock, but my local Walmart always has an overflow of stock in the damn aisles.

You need to keep that down home, cuz! You don't want a flash-riot from the dims showing up over there.

Yeah I was expecting this to be just a big shopping weekend that cleared the shelves, but given the current state of our country it does create doubt in that. Glad to see it's most likely just a moment of heavy shopping.

I was there yesterday and you are right, the produce section was lacking. But a nice surprise is the prime beef is cheaper than a few months ago and I found a good deal on Hall Cabernet Sauvignon for $47 a bottle. It's normally $54 at Acquistapace's. Sometimes you can catch good deals on wine at Sam's.

Couldn't get any eggs, no milk, some cheeses, no salad kits, low on chicken breasts, and quite a few other things yesterday.

Better than ever!
