Whoever educated Ryan Reynolds on the 80s must be mentally ill. The 80's were not traumatic, they were a blast and I would go back and relive every minute of the 80's again as quickly as I possibly could if I had a time machine. I'd stop in the 70's too, while I was at it. Being a teen in the late 70's and early 80's, and going to college in the early 80's, was incredible.

The 80s and 90s was the pinnacle of crime including violent crime. But no one thought much of that at the time.

I remember the gays brought AIDS to the 80s and tricked us all into thinking we were an all at risk which fricked up my chances of having lots of promiscuous hetero sex in the 90s .

Sure our grandparents had that whole Depression thing and stormed the beaches of Normalcy or whatever and that's not too shabby either. But we stood helpless at the edge of the pool for 30 minutes while our sandwiches digested.

Oh look another dumbass actor a retard can relate to. The 80s were a damn sight better than this egg noodle world we’ve got today. I was more grown up and respectful of others by the time I graduated HS than 90% of 30 years today. Because my old man woulda beat my arse if I acted like a retard, bullys would no doubt take an asswhipping from somebody, women and girls although maybe a little wild weren’t stupid and you were expected to earn you keep some way or another. There were lines in the sand you did not cross but have as much freedom and fun as you want and not worry about getting mugged or shot

What a stupid take! The ‘80s were as good as it gets. There was stagflation in 1980, then a small recession starting when Reagan attacked inflation in 1981. By the end of 1982 - and through the end of that decade - the economy exploded. Social unrest nearly disappeared. There was no protest culture left.
The ‘80s were tough all right - tough on lefty agitators.
